75% Fine Highland Wool

Gauge

23 stitches & 32 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch with Needle A, after blocking

Needles

Needle A (for main fabric)
One each 16" and 24" circular needles
Size 6 (4 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge listed
Needle B (for ribbing)
One each 16" and 24" circular needles one size smaller than Needle A
Size 5 (3.75 mm)

Note: Measure shoulder girth as the horizontal circumference around the shoulders at the front breakpoint level with arms down.

Notes

Popover is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up, using a circular needle to accommodate the large number of stitches. Pieces are sewn together along shoulders, leaving sides open. Collar is worked circularly from live stitches after seaming. 

A 7-stitch selvedge is worked at each side edge from hem to beginning of shaping, then a 5-stitch selvedge is worked for remainder of piece as shown in {brackets}.
