Notes
Both the cowl and the cap are worked in the round. The nature of herringbone stitch requires it to be knit using a significantly larger needle to match the gauge of stockinette stitch, so needle sizes change regularly throughout the work. The change happens two stitches before or after the beginning of the round, which is intended to help reduce a gap in the fabric.
