Kumo is knitted sideways in Stockinette Stitch on the bias from one tip to the opposite long edge with one strand of Silk Cloud and one strand of Tweed Silk Cloud held together throughout. Wrap is worked with two needle sizes: the larger is used to knit the right side and the smaller to purl the stitches on the wrong side. Increases are worked at the beginning of the RS rows as well as at the end of the WS rows. Decreases are worked at the end of every RS row.It is important to knit the upper edge (increase edge) loosely. For a stretchier upper edge, you can add a yarn over (included in the instructions) between the two edge stitches and drop the yarn over again the next row. These yarn overs do not constitute an increase. To increase the size of the shawl, keep working in the established pattern until desired size is reached.
