Gauge

23 stitches & 36 rows = 4" / 10 cm in stockinette stitch with yarn held double, after blocking
13-stitch Wild Oats panel measures approximately 1.75" / 4.5 cm wide with yarn held double, after blocking.

Needles

One each 16" / 40 cm and 24" / 60 cm circular needles and one set of double-pointed needles (PPNs) (or 32" / 80 cm circular if using Magic Loop Method)
US 5 / 3.75 mm or size needed to obtain gauge listed

Notes

Pullover is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up and sewn together, using a circular needle to accommodate the large number of stitches. Collar is worked circularly from picked-up stitches, then folded and sewn to the inside of the garment. Optional cuffs are worked circularly from stitches picked up from the WS, then folded RS out.

A slipped selvedge is worked at each side edge, as shown in {brackets}. 

For best results, use the Sloped Bind Off Method (see Special Techniques) for shoulder, neckline, armhole, and sleeve cap shaping.
